 Many many books arrived today! And now, to sell them. Note the nervous-looking dog in the midst of the pile. Inspiration for characters come from many different facets of my life. This anxiety-prone yet loving rat terrier that shares my home definitely shaped my canine heroine's character.
In other words, like Ellis, I am very familiar with cleaning up yellow puddles on the floor.
